My Story
Growing up, I never imagined I’d own a construction management company. My journey began at Home Depot, where I learned DIY skills and took every training class available. While working there, I was also investing in real estate and developing a passion for construction. My real turning point came through community development work with neighborhood rebuild and the Chicago Community Loan Fund, where I saw a critical need for workforce training in construction trades. This insight, combined with my carpentry training, inspired me to start JLJ Construction Management – not just as a business but as a way to create opportunities in my community.
